Grey has been the new black for the past few seasons....

I love the colour grey, it is such a great 'neutral' colour and can be wore on it's on with other shades of grays or with pair with other colour/s.  I am loving Princess Letizia of Spain take on this trend.  The sequins on the cardigan add interest while the beige belt & handbag breaks the colour in a very subtle way.

A winning look & inspiration on how to wear grey and sequins for a daytime look.

The power of the red carpet - Mila Kunis

For a very long time I could not understand why actresses would go to the lengths they go to dress themselves for red carpet appearances.  It seemed to me that if you were in a film and your performance was noticeable, surely that it is all that is needed.  But now I realized how wrong I was.   There are actresses that we like their performance but once we leave the movie theater, we forget their names and only remember the main character/s.  But after watching then walk through the red carpet wearing something unforgettable, you quickly remember their names.

After the Golden Globes if anyone didn't know who Mila Kunis was, they definitely know now.  She stepped into the red carpet on Sunday night in a beautiful Vera Wang one shoulder dress that was stunning.  While other dresses were talked about as best or worse (Michelle Williams and Angelina Jolie), every fashion critic and enthusiast agreed that she was one of the top 5 best dress ladies on the night.  She looked like a goddess that she is, wore the dress with such ease and elegance that was hard to ignore.

She is fast becoming one of the fashion starlets to watch out for on any red carpet.  Here are my favorite looks from Mila on recent carpet moments.

Golden Globes, my pick of best dress

So the award season is truly underway.  The Golden Globes is after the Oscars, the second most important red carpet in terms of fashion.  And while the Oscars is always the more formal of the two, the Golden Globes always give more room for unusual, quirky or "casual" dresses.  I was surprised how low key most of the dresses looked on the red carpet,  colour block, minimalist, long hems were the trend, all of them were quite understated but nonetheless incredibly beautiful.  Is this a preview of what the Oscars are going to be or is Hollywood keeping a card up their sleeves in terms of fashion?

Here are my pick of the best dress at the Golden Globes.
