I have always wondered how two people of equal talent at their particular field, one of the success and transcends generations and the other are a mere thought on someone's distant memory. This is very much the case of Madeleine Vionnet.
She was a contemporary of Coco Chanel and like Chanel, changed the fashion world at the beginning of the twentieth century forever. Some of the latest trends such as draping or Grecian style was invented by Vionnet; the bias cut, was pioneer and perfected by her; the use of geometric and viewpoint is nothing short of pure artistry.......and only a few fashion students or designers would know first hand who she was or what contribution she has made to fashion.
I love the 1920 and 1930's; I think there are the most stylish of all decades, so here it is my tribute to one of the greatest designers of all time.....thank you Madam Vionnet!

Welcome!
I have always have an interest in fashion, I cannot remember a time I was not interested. I used to wear my mother's shoes around the house when I was a child and sneak into her closet looking at the beautiful clothes hanging within.
As time gone by, I have always have this "skill or vision" to see clothes from a hanger and be able to visualize how they would look on someone. For whatever reason, I know what suits most of my friends or random strangers and more often than not, I would give unsolicited advice. Love creating a look and get great satisfaction seeing how people wear clothes and make them their own, just with a little guidance.
So many, many people has encouraged me, over the years, to start a blog and share my thoughts.....so here it is. Hope you enjoy it.
